FIBER-OPTICAL CABLES
- Fibre-optical cables serve as interfaces between the plasma processes and light detectors, such as 2B-PEM®. Any plasma monitoring-based process control relies heavily on the quality and reliability of fibre-optical components. Years of experience in delivering OES solutions to the vacuum industry led to engineering high-performance fibre-optical cables for industrial and scientific spectroscopy and monitoring applications.
- Nova Fabrica in-vacuum and atmospheric fibre-optical cables can be configured flexibly to suit a wide variety of vacuum system geometries and applications. They feature small long term bending radius (50 mm) and efficient light transmission in the 190-2000 nm range, single, bi-furcated (Y-cable) and tri-furcated configurations and in-vacuum as are manufactured routinely.
- The in-vacuum fibre-optical bundles are ideally suited for harsh environments and can tolerate high temperatures, up to 250 °C, long-term. The stainless steel jacketing prevents outgassing and protects against mechanical damage. Bifurcated and trifurcated cables allow monitoring multiple points of interest using a single 2B-PEM® detector.
